Chocolate and orange Christmas cookies
The aroma of these delicious cookies is the best prelude to the holidays. Cookies. They will delight young and old alike! In fact, making this sweet snack with the help of the little ones in the house is a good way to share quality time and plan for the upcoming celebrations. And they are really easy to make: a little kneading, a “creative” phase, a short time in the oven, and we already have some crunchy figures with a hint of orange and chocolate (what a delicious combination!).
Come on, let’s get started.
Servings: a few
Preparation time: 45 minutes, or more if we get carried away with the figures
Difficulty: even an adult can make them
Featured cookware: Vitrinor baking dish
You’ll need:
For several people
• 80 g butter
• 50 g sugar
• 120 g flour
• 30 g chocolate chips
• Juice of half an orange
• Orange zest to taste
How is it made?
In a bowl, mix the butter, sugar, orange zest, orange juice, flour, and finally the chocolate chips until you get a smooth dough that doesn’t stick to your hands.
Roll out the dough with a rolling pin to create a flat surface to work with. Now comes the creative phase: use Christmas cutters to give the cookies different shapes. This is where the little ones can shine. If you tell them to make whatever figures they can think of with their own hands, as if they were modeling with play-doh, the result will surely be much more interesting…
Place the cut-out shapes on a baking tray lined with parchment paper and bake for 30 minutes at 180 ºC. Let them cool and they will be ready to enjoy and share.
