We inaugurate the new Guriezo plant, an €18 million investment

We celebrate the inauguration ceremony of the new facilities in the company of numerous authorities from the Government of Cantabria.

The Cantabrian President, María José Sáenz de Buruaga, along with the Regional Minister of Industry and the Mayor of Guriezo, visit and highly value the company’s commitment to industrial development, innovation, and quality employment in the region as levers of the strategic plan defined by the company for the 2024-2030 horizon.

The project, which has been developing over the last 2 years, includes:

A new building of almost 7000 m² and 22 m high with an investment level of €6.5 M, whose main milestones are:

• Modification of Guriezo’s General Urban Development Plan.

• Movement of more than 35,000 metric tons of plant waste that has been valorized with two environmental recovery projects for local farms.

A new automatic storage system, which doubles our storage capacity to 14,000 pallets, with an investment level of €5 M, and which centralizes all logistical activities in a single location and stands out for:

• Autonomous pallet transport system from the end of production lines to the new logistics center, covering a distance of 400 meters.

• Multi-order picking system to adapt to the online sales and multi-order system.

New aluminum cookware production line, with a capacity of more than 3 M units/year and an investment of €6.5 M, which is expected to create 40 direct jobs. Likewise, the facilities could double their capacity in less than 1 year if needed.

At Vitrinor, we have especially highlighted the value of people, because behind every industrial investment there is not only machinery, technology, or square meters, but also committed teams, families, and a territory that needs companies that continue to commit to growth, innovation, and creating opportunities.

That is why we have taken the opportunity to recognize and thank the work of all the people who have made this project possible: the working partners of Vitrinor, our technical and operational teams, collaborators, suppliers, and the Government of Cantabria Team and the Local Government Team for all their continuous help over so many years.

At Vitrinor, we understand that industry must continue to be an essential engine for development, innovation, and value creation, and we want to keep moving forward with this ambition. We want to continue growing, continue innovating, and continue bringing our products and our way of working to more and more markets, without ever losing our roots or our commitment to this land.
