Save up to €30 a year by cooking with 50% less energy thanks to Vitrinor’s Eco Enamelled Steel

Did you know that, thanks to recycling in Spain, since 1998 we’ve avoided the consumption of 52.2 million MWh of energy? It’s clear that by living more sustainably we can help improve our planet. At Vitrinor, we firmly believe in this, and that’s why we want all our customers to join the great change.

At our factory in Guriezo (Cantabria), we produce eco-enamelled steel cookware that allows you to save up to 50% energy compared to other materials. This type of cookware heats up much faster than any other. That means you’ll be able to cook using less energy — and you’ll notice the difference on your bill. We always recommend cooking at medium heat. You’ll get the same results you would at high temperatures with other materials, while saving energy and taking care of your cookware so it lasts longer.

What’s more, choosing Vitrinor cookware means choosing sustainability. Want to know why?

Working from a sustainability mindset allows us to meet today’s needs without compromising the future of the next generations, ensuring a balance between economic growth, environmental care, and social well-being.

The United Nations promotes a series of Sustainable Development Goals as part of the 2030 Agenda. At Vitrinor, we believe it is essential to commit to sustainable development — and we do so consciously. Here’s how we do it!

Our commitment to health

The characteristics of eco-enamelled steel make it an ideal type of cookware for enjoying healthy cooking. Its materials allow food to retain all its properties intact while also helping you prepare your dishes with less fat — perfect for maintaining a healthy lifestyle.

Our commitment to recycling

We work to prevent environmental degradation by focusing on reducing the ecological footprint of our production process. We have achieved a 70% reduction in water consumption, we reuse more than 150 tons of cardboard, we recover more than 9 tons of plastic, and we reuse 3,000 tons of steel in our production process — That’s the equivalent of 13 Statues of Liberty!

Our commitment to saving

We are also committed to sustainable industrialisation through the introduction of new technologies that allow for more efficient use of resources. The energy efficiency of our cookware means that when you cook at medium heat, the result is exactly the same! In addition, your cookware pieces will last longer and you’ll generate less waste.

Our commitment to the environment

We are a cooperative, and we believe in a more local economy that benefits our surroundings. Our workforce of 400 employees lives in the areas around our factory. We also care deeply about our community, promoting the consumption of locally sourced products and collaborating with different organisations to help change life stories.

At Vitrinor we believe that we can live in a sustainable way and help build a better world for everyone. Will you join us?
