You can easily find this sauce in any shop selling Asian products\u2026 and it\u2019s always worth stepping into places that sell things you don\u2019t yet know: sometimes you discover ingredients that change the way you cook. <\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">And it\u2019s not just delicious: it\u2019s a light, high-protein recipe thanks to the prawns, with very little fat and full of natural umami, making it a nutritious, well-balanced option for Christmas menus. They\u2019re pure gold in the kitchen. <\/span><\/p>\n<\/p>\n<p><b>Sear the prawns<\/b><\/p>\n<\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Heat your non-stick pan with a splash of oil.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Sear the prawns for one minute on each side, just until they change colour. Remove them immediately\u2014they\u2019ll finish cooking in the sauce. <\/span><\/p>\n<\/p>\n<p><b>Saut\u00e9 the garlic.<\/b><\/p>\n<\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Lower the heat slightly and add the chopped garlic.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">You\u2019re looking for that gentle \u201csizzle\u201d that perfumes the oil, not a deep golden colour. That aromatic base makes all the difference.  <\/span><\/p>\n<\/p>\n<p><b>Prepare the sauce<\/b><\/p>\n<\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Add the oyster sauce, the soy sauce and the water.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Remove and allow it to simmer gently for a couple of minutes, until the mixture thickens and becomes shiny.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">(Oyster sauce brings incredible umami.
