Recommendations for use and maintenance

  • Before using for the first time, the pan should be washed and dried thoroughly.
  • Inspect the pan to make sure it has no damage, such as dents or chips in the coating, or any other damage that
may have occurred during transportation or at the point of sale. They might scratch the cooking surface.
  • Wash using a soft sponge and hot water. Do not use metal scouring pads or abrasive products.
  • Rub a thin layer of oil over the non-stick surface.
  • Avoid using sharp objects. We recommend using wooden or plastic utensils.
  • The non-stick surface may become darker through use. This is a natural effect that does not affect its functionality. This effect is more noticeable in light colours.
  • In induction hobs, use medium settings.
  • Wait for the pan to cool completely before washing to avoid burns or damage.
  • Avoid scratching the pan by unnecessarily moving it around on the hob.
  • Hand washing is recommended to prolong the life of your cookware.

Safety instructions

  • Do not allow direct flames to come into contact with the handle as this weakens the Bakelite and can cause
damage through breakage. Pans with Bakelite handles are not oven proof.
  • Pans with metal handles can overheat with use, so make sure you use thermal protection when handling them.
  • Make sure the pan is stable and doesn’t spin around.
  • For gas hobs, make sure the pan is stable on the burner.
  • The pan and the hob ring should be the same diameter to help prevent energy loss and ensure efficient cooking
    performance.
  • Cook over a medium heat. Never leave an empty pan on the burner or overheat it as this can damage the lining
    and cause accidents.
  • Make sure the handle is positioned inwards or towards either side so that it is not knocked accidentally.
  • Do not add cold water to a hot frying pan, as thermal shock may deform it.
  • If the non-stick coating is worn or peeled off, stop using the pan.
  • On pans with screwed fittings, the handle may become loose over time. For your own safety, you should
immediately tighten the handle using a conventional screwdriver and if this is not possible, you should no longer
    use the pan.
  • Replace the pan if you notice any deformations that affect its stability.
  • These pans are not microwave safe.
  • Do not touch or move hot cookware, wait for them to cool before handling to avoid the risk of burns.
  • Never leave the pan unattended while in use, as it may cause fires or accidents.
  • Keep the pans out of the reach of children while cooking.
  • Do not overheat and always be sure that oil, water or food materials are in the cookware prior to heating it.
  • Avoid using cooking sprays.
  • Cookware should not be used as a food storage container, which could result in staining the non-stick surface.
