Recipe for giant biscuit for Halloween in the oven
Who here celebrates Halloween? For all those who love this tradition of witches, ghosts and pumpkins, we bring you a recipe that we are sure you will love. And best of all, it is ideal to prepare with children.
Halloween is a holiday that traces its origins back to the ancient Celtic peoples. They used the Gaelic word “Samhain” to refer to this celebration marking the end of the harvest. During that time, it was believed that the spirits of the dead returned to the world of the living to visit them. Food and sweets were left outside homes as offerings.
Now that you know the origins of Halloween, it’s time to get into the kitchen and prepare this original giant baked recipe. Put on your apron!
Serves: 3 or 4 persons
Time to prepare: 10 minutes
Difficulty: easy
You will need:
For several people
• 150 grams of flour
• 120 grams of sugar
• 100 grams of butter
• 1 egg
• 2 tablespoons of cocoa powder
• 200 grams of dark chocolate, broken into pieces
• 100 grams of white chocolate
• Half a tablespoon of baking powder
• Half a tablespoon of salt
How is it done?
We begin by preheating the oven to 180ºC. On this occasion, it is better not to use the fan.
To prepare our giant cookie, we’ll use our pizza baking tray. That way it will come out perfectly round.
Let’s prepare the ingredients. In a bowl, add the butter, sugar, and egg. Mix well and then add the flour, cocoa powder, baking powder, and salt. Add them gradually and fold them in gently so everything blends perfectly. Add the chopped chocolate and stir so it’s evenly distributed throughout the cookie.
The mixture is ready! Pour it into the tray and spread it evenly across the surface. Thanks to its double-layer non-stick coating, it won’t stick.
Ahora solo tienes que meterla al horno durante media hora. Pasado el tiempo, déjala enfriar.
To decorate it, melt some white chocolate and put it in a piping bag. Then draw a spiderweb or whatever you like best for this Halloween. It’ll look killer!
